#100Happy Days - Day 100!

Well I've done it and I have to say it, I mostly enjoyed it.

It was good to think that even when things could be going wrong in aspects of your life, there's still stuff to make you reflect and be happy and make you smile.

This little exercise has, I think, made me a happier person, looking more at what I have and can do to make myself happy.

What do I do now?

I don't know, but I think I'll be blogging regularly again, unlike in the last couple of years.

As I've been blogging recently, I've been visiting other blogs, leading to me looking at my life and what I need to do to make it better.

Through reading other people's blogs about what they were doing with their lives, I've started another blog, purely about finances. Occasionally, I made a few posts about money on here, that was before I set up the other blog - I'd rather keep the two separate.

Anyway, it's a happy 100th day and the sun is shining!

100 Happy Days - Day 98: Been pretty busy lately but have really gotten into this book - only halfway through it, want to finish it this weekend.

100 Happy Days - Day 99: Caught up with the Glamorous C after a gym session. Fantastic news that she has seen the property she's planning to retire in...fingers crossed that she gets it!

100 Happy Days - Day 96: Been catching up on 'Fargo' - top tv show!

100 Happy Days - Day 97:  Felt great after the gym class which, although only 45 mins long, was a great work out and I felt a bit sick in the middle! Need to work off holiday flab!

100 Happy Days - Day 95: 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' was pretty awesome!

I did a 'billy-no-mates' and went to see it on my own as couldn't get anyone to come see it with me, but the X-Men are my favourite Marvel characters. I must start re-reading the comics again at some point!

100 Happy Days - Day 94:  New offices are nice, if a little cramped, and I'm liking my new desk layout.

However, I do wish I could have more cupboard space.  A week back at work and my stuff is still sitting in piles (and in boxes) waiting for me to sort through...joy!

100 Happy Days - Day 93: Good to see a top female coach in football following the recent Scudamore sexist emails!

100 Happy Days - Day 92: Closest I've ever been to completing the Rubik's Cube! Am using some notes my sister jotted down for me...might have to resort to You Tube at some point!

Dazed Days

Righto, I'm back after a great trip in Hong Kong - more on that later.

In the meantime, I just need to post a load of #100 Happy Days to get myself up to date - I'll add photos at some point!

So in reverse order, starting with today:

Day 91: Day off to recover from jet lag, managed to squeeze in a boiler repair service so no need to take more time off for that!

Day 90: Arrived back in Manchester and it's sunny!

Day 89: Nice meal out with the family. I had posh fish and chips (yes, I went all the way to HK and had fish and chips!)

Day 88: Yummy sushi and a night out with the sisters!




Day 87: Caught up with my uni friend HM and met her husband for the first time.

Day 86: Not happy that my aunt (Dad's sis) is in hospital with kidney problems but visited her and it was great to see that she looked very well and comfortable and will be able to go home soon.






Day 85: Day out with my aunt (Mum's sis) and my cousin who could be heading over to Canada on a research gig.

Day 84: Walked my niece to her school bus...in shorts and wellies!

Day 83: Met up with my friend from uni 'Dr Ho'

Day 82: Slept through a really rough ferry trip, where they were handing out sick bags!



Day 81: Scored 166 in ten pin bowling and also saw the 'House of Dancing Water' show.

Day 80: In Macau, but armed with rain mac and wellies!

Day 79: English breakfast with the family!

Day 78: Full body Thai massage - some bits were relaxing, other bits felt rather painful! And I did find it strange to have someone bigger than me walk on my back... Not one to try at home, kids!





Day 77: Badminton with Nephew #1

Day 76: Sister #3 asked if I wanted a handbag she said didn't go with her outfits. I wasn't about to say 'no'...






Day 75: A good sleep on the plane, before arriving in HK to see all the family!

Happy and Sad

100 Happy Days - Day 74: Last day at work before I'm on my trip to the Far East. Managed to pretty much clear my inbox, which is a first!

Was a little sad as it was our very last day in the office as we're relocating to the building next door. So, it'll all be brand new when I return.

I've been here so long that I had to cart two carrier bags full of 'personal stuff' to take home with me - I'll take it back into work once I've sussed out how much space we have!

Anyway, the next twenty or so days may be all bunched together as I'm unlikely to be able to update while I'm off.

Added it to my big To Read list!

Tight Fit

100 Happy Days - Day 72:  Test run of packing my suitcase went well! It was looking like I'd bought too much stuff but I'll be taking less clothes, maybe buy some while I'm away, or borrow my sister's!

How Now, Slough?

100 Happy Days - Day 71: My non-league team Slough Town FC beat Rugby Town FC to reach the play-off final, to be played on Monday.

I'm off on my jollies then so I hope I'll be able to tune in.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do about my 100 Happy Days thing as I may not be in a position to post while I'm away.

Perhaps I'll just post something really brief and then embellish when I get back.

TV Stuff

100 Happy Days - Day 69: Great to actually find a tv show on a 'normal' channel (Channel 4) which is top quality! I've never watched the film 'Fargo' but am enjoying this series, though it took a while to get used to Martin Freeman's accent.

100 Happy Days - Day 70:  Loving this season's 'Game of Thrones' - I should stop trying to work out which parts of the books are being used...I think I'd enjoy it even more!

100 Happy Days - Day 68: I know they're a big waste of money but I could not resist a World Cup Panini sticker book!

Big Hit

100 Happy Days - Day 67:  Watched 'Kick-Ass 2' - not quite as good as the first one but loved all the Hit Girl bits - would love to see a film just about her!

No Alcohol Needed

100 Happy Days - Day 66: Last time I went out with the girls from the gym, we all got horribly drunk.

This time out, we met up after a workout, all very civilised (but still noisy with laughter) and no alcohol as we all came straight from work.

Looking forward to our next outing (with alcohol!)

100 Happy Days - Day 65: I actually started a new blog the other week. Not listing it here as it's purely a personal finance one that's an incentive for me to save and invest. Anyway, got my first comments today on it, yay!

I've made a few posts on this blog in reference to saving and money recently, but didn't want this blog to go in that direction. In fact, I'm not sure what will happen when I get to the 100 Days!!! Will I stop being happy??

Oops!

100 Happy Days - Day 64: Actually, when I laughed about the rumour yesterday, I didn't think it was going to happen! I left the house this morning and it was still a rumour. By the time I got into the office, the place was buzzing with people talking about it.

Ah well, what a shame eh, haha!

So Bitter

100 Happy Days - Day 63: I feel sorry for David Moyes but hope this will be the start of a manager-merry-go-round to cause endless years of disruption at Old Trafford! Yes, I am bitter and have every right to be!

On another note, it's been a nice long weekend, mostly relaxing, sorted out a lot of my finances - future is looking brighter!

Getting Closer

100 Happy Days - Day 62: After today's win against Norwich, Champions League football beckons after 5 years! Woo hoo!
