Last But One

Another bank holiday weekend over with, only one more to go in August. Compared to the rest of Europe, we get the least number of bank holidays (8, compared to a European average of 13). The lucky Italians get a whopping 16 bank holidays. Anyway, rant over.

Went to visit the glamorous C over the weekend - she'd been planning a barbecue, but as is often the case with bank holidays in the UK, it was pouring with rain so we cooked indoors. (Hey, if we had more bank holidays, there'd be more rain, therefore no hosepipe bans....?? Hmmm!)

Joined in with her kids playing Zelda on the Nintendo Wii (nothing as manic like last time!) - I appear to be pretty good at fighting against the big bosses/monsters but the kids were better at jumping around platforms so it was a good combined effort!

Anyway, it was a nice relaxing weekend just girlie chatting and chilling with beers and G & T's. Watched Borat on DVD - cringeworthy but funny in parts.

My sis who's pregnant is being induced today, so there should be a new addition to the family shortly!
