Global Warming

Only global warming can really explain how I was able to relax in an outside jacuzzi at my sports club on Sunday without freezing my bits off!

Yep, it was April Fools' Day and when I peered out and saw that the jacuzzi had been switched on outside, I thought it was a joke at first.

The indoor jacuzzi was, as is often the case, packed full of sweaty overweight men, so trying hard not to turn up my nose as I tiptoed past, I went outside and had a lovely time chilling by myself in the sun until I was joined by some other 'bewildered' people.

I then thought I'd check out the steam room, which was so steamy that it was as if I was wearing my specs that had fogged up in a major way. Nearly ended up in some guy's lap, visibility was so bad! Oops!

Looking forward to another British summer if it's anything like the one we had last year!

  1. I'm currently sat in Perth (not the one in Scotland where my parents live). I landed around 5pm local time and it was 32 degrees then. It's now almost 9pm and I'm sweltering.

Why did I choose to stay with someone who doesn't have aircon? Argh.

Oudoor spas rock. Friend of mine near Sydney has one - and the sauna should have been finished by now! Really have to head back there at some point.

I'm in the South of England. It was bloody freezing today though.

  3. Yeah, I gathered it's a little cold back home! The last time I had to wear long sleeves was in NZ around June last year...

  5. In Houston - I have had to wear long sleeves these last few days but has not been bad, actually been almost perfect at night. Gets too hot and humid here in summer.

Jacuzzis before Easter? The words gone mad!
    Hope you're well, gal.
