This year - probably more of the same.

  1. I am almost embarrassed to say this, but I noticed that this year, I was more into the young adult books like Eragon, Elder and Inkheart. Mostly because they were to be made into movies. It's awkward being the old fart at the bookstore in the children's section. "No, I don't need help, just buying this for my 12 year old niece."

  2. I usually read at least one young adult book a year - I sneakily filed it under 'Fantasy'... :-)
    Not gotten round to trying Eragon et al yet, but planning to. Since I'm not buying any books, I'll check out the local library!

    The Bill Bryson book is in my great pile of the unread. I will have to follow your lead and read them before I purchase others.
