Trials are being done at Manchester Airport on this scanner, which shows rather a lot more detail than your usual scanners.
I can understand some people being in uproar about invasion of privacy etc but for me, safety is more important and if this machine can weedle out some nutter who's hidden a bomb or whatever up his arse, inside his ribcage etc, then all the better.
If you've got fake boobs, well tough, people know they are fake without x-rays.
Funny how I expected the technology to resemble the scanning machine from Arnie's film Total Recall - looked way cooler!
Well, it amused me. As you say, safety is the most important thing. I can't see why people are so prudish anyway.
