Thought I'd make a little mention since I will be trying to catch as much as I can.

So, the Beijing Olympics commenced on the 8th minute of the 8th day of the 8th month, 2008 - awesome!

A spectacular opening ceremony, must rank amongst the best if not THE best.

And hey, Britain have won their first medal, a GOLD no less! Well done, Nicole Cooke!
