Tunes

Am off to the Leeds Festival again this year - had a problem getting my day ticket as it seems a load of rip-off ticket exchange/merchants seem to have gotten their thieving hands on them all so I ended up paying £25 on top of the face-value.

Still, overall it should be cheaper than last year since JH and her sisters haven't expressed an interest in going this year, I don't need to shell out for a hotel in Leeds, just going up for the day and then catching the last train home (and hoping I don't miss anything when I have to leave!).

Looking forward to The Killers, Editors and maybe the Manic Street Preachers.

Fingers crossed for some glorious weather.

  1. I'm dead jealous.
Saw The Killers last year and they were good, although deep down I wish I'd have seen them at a festival instead of an Arena.
    Glorious weather is always optional.

  2. Yeah, but would rather be carrying sun lotion than wearing my wellies!

    Can't wait!

  3. A whopping 2 1/2 acts I'd like to see on the bill this year. It's really gone downhill since Download took over and the metal acts headed that way instead. Mind, it does mean some acts that aren't available in June can pop over in August.

Dropkick Murphys would be good to see, and Slipknot for the umpteenth time. Serj Tankian would be interesting as I liked his work with SOAD.

Metallica can go die for all I care (they've been awful for longer than they were good now - official). Will Babyshambles be playing seeing as the drug-addled frontman was jailed (again) today? As for the Manics, I remember them when I saw them live... they had one *single* out. I don't think they'd even released an album. At least they were all still alive.

    Roll on Graspop.

  4. Yeah, not enough rock bands this year but there's still enough of the Sunday line up that takes my fancy.
