This week has uncannily just flown by in the blink of an eye. Friday was here before I knew it.
I'm so glad because workwise, it has been a really really crap week.
I've been put in a situation where I can't do my job properly because some morons haven't done their jobs and because the buck stops with me, potentially me digging my feet in because things haven't been done correctly could cost the company a deal worth a lot of money. Lots.
As in close to £2 million...
On the other hand, if I just did my job in a haphazard fashion and then things went tits up, the company could stand to lose over £2 million, especially adding legal costs on top. And whose neck would be on the line? Yep, yours truly.
The deal needs to be concluded on 31st Jan - I've been working on this all week and it's still not finished. I already want next week to be over already...
And whilst I was stressing out, I agreed to meet up with some uni friends up in Glasgow, we decided on a weekend and then I realised belatedly after flights/trains had been booked that my diary hadn't been updated and I was double-booked...AARGGH! I've fixed it now but I shouldn't be making my life so complicated!
The gym, my friends and the glamorous C have kept me sane otherwise, I'd be a screaming wreck by now. Also, fortunately my boss is aware of the whole situation so I'm not completely on my own but I'm getting a lot of grief and pressure from the commercial people.
And I have a huuuuuge backlog of work now. :-(
Still, an eventful weekend should be a suitable distraction!
oh gosh that does sound scary. But work stresses really get to you whatever they are, don't they? I know I have had my mind preoccupied by work things before and been unable to think of anything else at all.
