I don't think I've read this many books in a year since my teens - it was some sort of unofficial target for me to aim for at least 30 books, not sure why but it's good to know I did it.
Anyway, a breakdown of my reading shows:
Fantasy - 17 books
Sci-Fi - 4 books
Crime/Thriller - 11 books
Non-Fiction - 0
Compared to last year's:
Fantasy - 9 books
Sci-Fi - 7 books
Crime/Thriller - 8 books
Non-Fiction - 3 books
I think I might manage at least one non-fiction book this year!
Thats an impressive list.
ReplyDeleteI've got to up my reading game...I've gone from reading about 5 books a month to one every few months if I'm lucky. Its one thing I miss about uni!
Thanks, though I'm not sure I could ever manage 5 books a month! Now that's impressive!
ReplyDeleteWow. I have picked up on my reading but nothing close to your list. Maybe I should track my reading list. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger and had more time I would regularly go through 20-25 books a *month*. I also used to be quite sad and keep a list of them.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm like Jo. A novel will often last me a few months, not days.
I did go through a phase last year when I read a ton load, but a lot of that time I was sat on buses and so on. In India, Hans and I were carrying something like 18 books between us. I think we got through most of them as well during the 10 weeks we were traveling together.
I also used to be quite sad and keep a list of them.
ReplyDeleteHey, I know I'm sad - you don't have to point it out! ;P
I think reading has replaced television watching as my past time.
I am currently working 12-16 hour days. When I'm not working I'm either doing something techy for fun (like redesigning/publishing my blog), watching stuff I've downloaded from the internet or I'm out snowboarding.
ReplyDeleteI used to read a lot in bed at night, but nowadays I'm too tired!
Yes, that is a big list!
ReplyDeleteI only read on holiday these days - I suppose I probably read about 5 books all year. Well, I read to the children but not sure The Cat in the Hat or The Three Little Pigs count?
I love the catergory of 'Fantasy Rubbish' :)
ReplyDeleteI think I read about 30 this year, but haven't kept a list. Woo-hoo! You're sadder than me ;-P
Reluctant Blogger - a book's a book, stick it on that list! :-)
ReplyDeleteRS - You're sadder than me ;-P
Hey, you're the Spurs fan, not me! ;-)
