Next Steps In Life

Right, my head's a bit clearer now and I can write about this without being totally overcome with emotion.

After 14 and a half years together, me and the boyfriend (or the fiancé, to use his correct title) are going our separate ways.

We're both sad and upset that it's turned out this way but we will part as friends and not enemies.

Just need to sell the house, split the proceeds and get on with our separate lives.

It won't be easy and if my posts seem to be erratic, well, I've got a lot on my mind right now.

There said it now. Don't really feel a lot better though.

  1. *hugs*

Sorry to hear that weenie, but glad that you can still be friends.

  2. awww, really sorry to hear that Weenie.

  3. *can't say anything that would help so says nothing and just offers sympathy instead*

  4. I am so sorry to hear that. 14 years is a long time together. You're allowed to not feel better for a long while.

  6. Keep your pecker up gal.
When I, completely unexpectedly, lost my job at the age of 52, with a 4 year-old and a big mortgage, I was suicidal. I was lucky enough to get a better job, which did not require me to worry my guts out daily, and have subsequently realised that; The worst thing that had ever happened to me, had become the best!
    Keep smiling.

  7. Can totally sympathise mate, doing the divorce thing at the mo after 10 years with my girlfreind and only one year of marriage. Trying to be amicable with finances but houses and mortgages make life tricky as does living on one salery with bills and mortage that demand two...

Not to worry you and I will both own a football team soon that will win the Champions League, OH YES.....
