Two things I've done since I got back to the UK:
1. Finished reading Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince
2. Watched the pilot episode of 'Lost'
1. I really enjoyed this HP book - a great story, some surprises, a shocking turn of events that brought a tear to my eye, some predictable events but all in all, better than the last book. I didn't want this one to end, which perhaps may be why I felt a little cheated at the end. I felt it ended a bit too suddenly, with too many loose ends untied. Still, I guess JK Rowling needs to keep people anticipating the next in the series. Also, there was a bit too much "snogging" for my liking...or perhaps it was just that this kind of thing didn't happen when I was in school??
2. The boyfriend recorded this much talked about programme about survivors of a plane crash who now have to try to survive on an island which has some weird secret... Gorgeous location (if you ignore the exploding and burnt-out bits of the plane), gorgeous survivors (both female and male eye-candy) and already, some great characters have emerged. Looking forward to see how they develop and interact.
I liked this one better then Order. I can't even remember what was in Order, that's how uninteresting it all was. I had forgotten that JK Rowling was including a "shocking event" in HBP and when I read that chapter, I literally cried out that it could not have been true. The next one should be a doozy!
ReplyDeleteI watched Lost throughout the Season and I got into it. Can't wait for the next Season.
We've had more than 10 weeks of Lost over here now, and I do watch it every week, but it isn't as fabtastic as its been made out. Although maybe thats just because yer man from Party of Five annoys me
ReplyDeleteI wasn't too sure of the HBP.
ReplyDeleteDefinately too much relationship stuff in it.
Azkaban and Goblet have been my two favourites so far.
Oh!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the b'day wishes!
