On Friday, I arrived at my desk at work (late as usual as the traffic on the M60 seems to be getting worse and worse) to find that it had been decorated with balloons and banners.
Yes, I'd clocked up 15 years service with the company. Doesn't seem that long, time seems to have whizzed by.
It's funny that my colleagues felt the need to celebrate this event more than I did and I'm not sure why I didn't feel like celebrating.
The last couple of years haven't been great for any of us - now that the uncertainty has gone, it's been replaced by a lot of pressure and I'm suffering from lack of concentration and distraction. At times, I feel like I'm not in control and I'm not sure how I can get back into control.
It's the same outside work too, there's so much that I need to do to get my life in some orderly fashion but I'd rather bury my head in WoW, reading or the gym. Maybe this is what keeps me vaguely sane!
Anyway, I have another certificate to clutter my desk and I got some vouchers too, handy this time of year.
So much to catch up on really, I've got some draft posts that I've not gotten round to posting - might have to do a blog related new year's resolution!
