WOW - how brilliant was that!?On Friday, went to see Kylie Minogue, who was starting the Manchester leg of her Showgirl (Homecoming) tour. She put on an amazing show to a full house, coming on to a standing ovation and was quite overcome.
Loads of OTT costume changes, hits old and new (she opened with 'Better The Devil You Know'), semi-naked dancers, banter with the crowd - it was perfect and she looked and sounded great!
We had quite good tickets not that far from the stage, so bar the the tall people jigging about occasionally, I had a good view of her. Me, the glamorous C and her daughter must have danced for most of the 2 hours that she was on!
At the end of the show, Kylie revealed that she'd had a cold since coming to not-so-sunny Manchester (she sounded a bit husky for the last few songs) and unfortunately, this has gotten worse and she had to cancel partway through the show on Saturday.
Guess we were lucky, lucky, lucky on Friday!
