Haven't Got a Stitch to Wear

It's the usual Christmas dilemma for us girls - Christmas parties to go to and we haven't got anything to wear!!

This year, I have three parties to go to - the main company bash, which will be at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester this Friday; the project bash which will be at San Rocco and then some club in Manchester on 15th Dec and then I've been invited to my old department's do, which will be at Malmaison Hotel on 17th Dec. Hmmm...this means some heavy sessions there in close succession, but horrors upon horrors, it also means THREE DIFFERENT OUTFITS NEEDED! :o

Went shopping on Sunday (and I hate shopping for clothes) - after hopping in and out of dresses for several hours and finding nothing I liked, in desperation, I eventually just chose a dress that looked ok on me. When I got home, I found that it was 100% silk - AARGH! It'll be ruined when I spill my pint / wine / whatever I'm drinking all over it! :(

So I'm going to go shopping again tonight after work - it's turning into a real chore, seriously. And I'm not even thinking about the bling I'll have to get to wear with the dress. Nor the shoes and the handbag.

And what am I going to do about my hair??

It's times like these when it's probably better to be a bloke - shirt and trousers, easy peasy.

  5. Unfortunately, all the parties have specifically specified "smart party wear", so jeans are out.

Fortunately, I picked up a posh top and skirt last night with minimum fuss - bring it on!
