Tunes in Yer Head...

Lord Bargain tagged me on this - "Ten songs that are going round your brain at the moment".

Well, no accounting for my musical tastes, so here goes...

1. James Blunt - "You're Beautiful"

You either love it or hate it and I love it, so there! Nice voice, shame about the face, James.

2. Kaiser Chiefs - "I Predict A Riot"

One of my fave tunes this year - it's a re-release yet I don't ever recall hearing it the first time round.

3. Green Day - "American Idiot"

This track has been played to bits in my car - finger-tapping-on-steering-wheel fun!

4. Busted - "What I go 2 SKL 4"

I wasn't sad when they split up, this was their one and only song that I liked. Thought their other stuff was crap.

5. The Cardigans - "My Favourite Game"

I can't remember this being in the charts and I don't remember downloading it either, but it's on my mp3 player. Love the guitar riffs.

6. ATB - "9pm (Til I Come)"

This dance tune from 1999 was on the radio recently and I surprisingly realised that I still thought it was pretty good.

7. The Cure - "Friday I'm In Love"

This is the only song I can name by The Cure and it's a happy tune!

8. Blink 182 - "The Rock Show"

From the last Blink 182 album I bought ('Take Off Your Pants and Jacket'), this high energy song brightens up even the dreariest Monday morning going into work.

9. Embrace - "Gravity"

This song has the dubious honour of bringing girlie tears to my eyes whenever I hear it. Curse you, Chris Martin for writing such a tear jerker!

10. Rammstein - "Ich Will"

"I want"? I don't understand a word of this song, yet it sounds reassuringly sinister and dark, depending on my mood.

Three unlucky people I'd like to have a go...

Fence
Thao
El Tel

I'm sure your lists must be more exciting than mine..? :)

  1. Done. But I don't think mine are very exciting. I almost had to put in You're Beautiful because even reading those words get that song stuck in my head, and I'm one who hates it. Luckily I got rid of it :

  2. LOL! When it's in my head, I swap the "her" for "his" etc... :)

  3. Erm *looks embarassed* - I don't know this beautiful song - and I am starting to wonder if that is a good or a bad thing. I think Rammstein, Cardigans and The Cure are very great choices - mostly because I don't know the other choices on your list ( I know Green Day and Blink 182 - but i'm not really into it ) - I have deceided to give Alias a try - and The O.C - I'm a TV Serie Holic !

  4. Nan, I've just hit a "jaw-dropping" episode in Alias 2 - WOW, but I won't give any details! I'm only watching two episodes a night maximum, otherwise I'll be going to bed too late!
