Oi Cyclops!

Think I'd better stick to Elves like next time. This time, my other hapless Quest party blunders in the dungeon...

We moved into a crypt(40). There is an exit west. In here are: a Sarcophagus(33169), a Sarcophagus(33170), a Sarcophagus(33171) and a Sarcophagus(33172).

During our travels, we came upon three Giants(9852). (Blurb given below).

As we got nearer to them, we took a careful look at them. There were three Giants. (3 Cyclops). Two were slightly injured. We let out a shout, "Taste our steel and burn in hell!".

Screaming "Die you bastard!" and swinging its axe, the towering Cyclops grinned maniacally, striking Rill The Demented. He was nearly gutted. Rarl Mcnabb made the shot, the bolt hurtled through the air striking the hulking Cyclops, leaving a light wound. Iron Duke released the bolt, hitting the towering Cyclops. It gasped with pain.

The gargantuan Cyclops struck Reg Revenant. Reg Revenant watched as blood trickled from the cut. The hulking Cyclops's axe hammered downwards, chopping Mikial Twinkletoes, slicing the arm from shoulder to elbow. The towering Cyclops ate Minstral whole. He is gone forever. [bugger! :( ]

Rill The Demented retreated. The gargantuan Cyclops hammered downwards, chopping Elrin Starblade in a spray of blood. Chamberlain cast miracle Healing at all the party. Mikial Twinkletoes retreated. The hulking Cyclops grinned maniacally, striking Neriak The Faithless, making merely a scratch.

The hulking Cyclops's hooves kicked Iron Duke. Iron Duke was lightly hurt. The towering Cyclops thumped Armsman Bane. Armsman Bane was stunned by the impact. The hulking Cyclops attacked, hitting Jilliana, slicing through flesh.

Cries of, "Let's get out of here," emerged from the carnage. Jilliana retreated. The gargantuan Cyclops's battle axe hit Rarl Mcnabb, opening a shallow cut. Swinging its axe, the hulking Cyclops struck Reg Revenant. He bled from the savage wound. Iron Duke retreated. Armsman Bane retreated.

The gargantuan Cyclops mowed down Elrin Starblade. He went down like a two bit whore. The vicious blow smashed his head exploding it in a spray of brain, blood and bone. The stench of blood filled the air. [ouch, another one bites the dust! ]

The hulking Cyclops smashed through an ineffective defence, striking Chamberlain, slicing through flesh. Led by Reg Revenant the party retreated. Our survivors escaped. We returned to the area after the battle to recover the body. We found it had been stripped of all money and items. As the enemy disappeared, it was noticed that two were slightly injured. We earned 28 experience points.

GIANT (847) Appearing as huge cloven hoofed semi-humans, these beings are monsters of incredible size. The smallest of their kind will still make the largest man appear as a dwarf when stood together. They have a reputation for being stupid and prone to fighting and feasting but this does not make them evil although certainly cruel. There are legends of a race of noble giants, but if these beings still persist then they have proved elusive no doubt distancing themselves from their half-witted brethren.

CYCLOPS The cyclops is closely related to the giants but is easily recognisable by the single large eye in the centre of its forehead. The lack of depth perception due to just one eye makes the cyclops a clumsy creature but it makes up to some extent with raw power and meanness. They are not very intelligent and usually fight with a large wooden or stone club.
