What is Life?

If I really sit down and think about why I have been given life on this planet, then I get pretty scared. ..I've spent the last hour or so playing internet games and chatting to people online - what has this achieved in life? Every second, every minute, my life is ticking away, yet I choose to spend it doing something that really doesn't do anything except pass the time and give me some small enjoyment!

Is life all about reproducing offspring to increase the human race, because if it is, I'm failing in that aspect!

If I really thought about whether I was making a difference in this world, I would probably stop going to work and just stay in bed, because I'd proabably achieve just as much there!

Where would I get my food from? Hey, weren't we all hunter-gatherers at one point?

What about money? Hell, there's loads of people living off the state and perhaps I should join them, I've paid enough tax during my working life, I deserve some of that money back.

Hmm...perhaps it's just as well I don't really think about things like this too often - better to have my head in the clouds, thinking what I'm doing is important and spending time doing things that are enjoyable but perhaps are meaningless in life...
