Call it premonition, but I knew that the boss would call in sick yesterday, when she was due to come back from her two week's holiday! Ok, so she and her family went to Florida and perhaps she got caught up in the hurricane. But, for some reason, I knew she wasn't going to be in when she was supposed to.
It's been happening a lot this past year or so, but the thing is, is anyone keeping a check on this? As she controls the sickness records, does she submit hers in also, or will that show Human Resources that she's been taking a lot of time off sick? Occasions when her children are sick and she takes time off to look after them, does she take these off as holidays, or just takes them as some sort of privelege, extra days on top of her holidays?
I used to have a lot of respect for her - getting less and less as time goes on.
