Walking in Dorking

Had a great weekend visiting my sis in Surrey. Funnily enough, we left all the good weather up north as it rained a lot whilst we were down there.

We'd been warned to take our walking boots and sure enough, we went on a good long hike, up Leith Hill in Dorking. We walked through some beautiful woodland countryside, up muddy banks, past funny coloured cows (don't they look a bit like pandas...see pic!?), there were some gorgeous cottages and the odd little quaint waterfall. English countryside at its best!

Then we came to the pub, and me and sis, looking at the big rainclouds decided to call it a day after nearly 6 miles. The guys carried on for another 5 miles in the downpour and pick us up in the car later.

A lovely relaxing weekend and the journeys up and down the M6 using the Toll Road weren't too bad either, especially since the bf drove. A few more days rest back home and my batteries should be totally recharged.

..the cow/panda thing made me giggle too!

P.S: I'm looking forward to the FA cup semi final this weekend! Blue is the colour! ;-)

  2. Yes, am looking forward to yet another Blue vs Red clash. I'm not so confident as to put my money where my mouth is... but should certainly be a fiery encounter as always! :)

    Those panda cows were weird!

  3. It's the one white stripe pattern they have that make them so odd looking. Sounds like you guys had a lovely time there.
