On the Tuesday, my sinuses decided to play up and were inflamed, impacting on my teeth again - I felt like pulling my teeth out with my bare hands, the pain was so bad. One side of my face swelled up so I looked a bit like a hamster storing a bit of food for later! :(
It did mean that I couldn't enjoy the French experience to the full - the great food and the French language was kinda dulled by my lack of sleep and the faceache. :( I suppose had I been stuck in the office and at home, the pain could have been worse - being away from home probably took my mind off the aching for some of the time.
Work-wise, it was a hell of a challenge - things went wrong beyond our control and the team did the best we could. The French are very ... passionate hence their reaction to problems and things going wrong were always very dramatic.
Did I see any sights? Our taxi sped past Notre Dame - the lights were on but Quasimodo wasn't home... needless to say, I didn't get any photos! Not a sniff of the Eiffel Tower either - I had to google for that pic! I did buy a little mini Eiffel tower souvenir - it's a must-do thing! ;)Am on antibiotics now to sort out my sinuses and teeth - a week to heal up and kinda relax and then it starts all over again with a week in Madrid or rather una semana en Madrid.
Boy...that sounds like a blast. Hope your pain is gone soon and you get to go back to Paris without having to work. :)
ReplyDeletePoor little Weenie ! - That really sucks to hear that you had such an awful trip ! - you must take a nice revenge eventually. The reason I sometimes read the last page is that it tells me wether the book is worth reading or not - like if the main character died - I don't wanna waste time holding my hopes up for the guy - then I side with evil instead :D I am soo tired. See you around Wee.
