First impressions of Germany? Foresty - lots of dense big trees everywhere (ok, this was just the view driving from the airport)
The usual stereotypical German efficiency and cleanliness.
Unstereotypically friendly - or perhaps that's just the people in the office.
Nearly everyone speaks English.
A long first day yesterday - we worked from 8.30am - 8pm. Ate in a small restaurant in Frankfurt, sampling some lovely dark German beer.
Chatted briefly to the boyfriend on the phone when I got back to the hotel - miss him! :(
das ist sehr gut.
ReplyDeleteschnell! kartoppelkopf!
Kartoppelkopf?
ReplyDeleteI know that katoffelkopf would be potato-head (if I got the spelling right) ...
Enjoy deutschland, and all its beer. Considering all the trees watch out for wolves and witches, and don't wander round any in a red cloak.
I always loved Germany when i was a foreign exchange student - and always , to a man (and woman) found them super friendy.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time.
It's all very pleasant at the moment thanks. Shame I don't have more time to do some sightseeing or shopping!
