One day, London was celebrating victory for the 2012 Olympic games.
The next, London was mourning the 37 who were killed in bomb blasts at four underground stations and one bomb blast on a double-decker bus. Many hundreds were injured.
The bombs were detonated during rush-hour and brought the city to a standstill.
Fortunately, as far as I know, my friends and family in the city are all accounted for - just waiting for one friend to confirm she is ok.
Some offshoot of Al Qaeda have claimed responsibility but it hasn't been determined if this is true or not.
Whatever, this is an atrocity - the loss of innocent lives.
