I finally went to see Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith.
It was a huge feast of battles, glorious to watch light sabre fights and familiar heart-tugging music. Like Attack of the Clones, Yoda was involved in an awesome light sabre duel.
Overall, I enjoyed it - it was darker than the previous films and there was a lot more action.
Downside though - some dodgy script, too much chopping from one scene to another, coupled with some wooden acting meant this film wasn't perfect, but hey, I guess I shouldn't be looking for Oscar-winning performances here.
The bf didn't enjoy it (and didn't like the first two either) so I guess I won't be watching it in the cinema again.
But I will be getting it when it comes out on DVD...to complete my Star Wars collection.
the bf's a wally, it is *great*. how can a bloke not like Star Wars. he is weird.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure any of the original trilogy are to be held up as great examples of acting, to be fair.
I have a bad feeling about this...
He's old skool, ie likes Episodes IV, V and VI but didn't warm to Phantom Menace et al. I like them all, tho have my own faves.
ReplyDeleteThink he's still got some of those old original Star Wars figures from the late 70s so yes, he is weird! :)
