Good Intentions

I had every intention of spending today writing a couple of chapters for my NaNoWriMo novel - was up at 8.30am, went to MacDonalds for breakfast, went to the bank, shopped at Tesco and was back home by 11.30am - most Saturdays, I'm still in my dressing gown at this time!

So how come it's gone 10pm and I've only just finished writing the second chapter (novel now totalling around 3600 words, only 46400 to go! Cripes!)

Ok, spent the afternoon sorting out turns for my Quest and Phoenix PBEM games and catching up on the various Yahoo lists. In Quest, my alliance is making enemies left, right and centre and in Phoenix, my affiliation is considering joining some conflict in a far off system. Ah, the joys of playing fantasy games! Am looking forward to the pubmeets in the next couple of weekends.

Then, me and the boyfriend watched the film Memento , which we taped from TV last night. Basic plot: A man, suffering from short-term memory loss, uses notes and tattoos to hunt down his wife's killer.

It started off a bit confusing, jumping backwards and forwards in time, but was pretty clever, neat little twists and great idea. First film I've seen Carrie-Ann Moss in outside of the Matrix trilogy, so it was strange for her to be someone other than Trinity. Fit body on Guy Pearce too! Can't believe that he used to be in Neighbours ;)

So....I didn't start any writing until around 6pm and then of course, I had to fix something to eat. Liverpool lost 1-0 at home against Birmingham City so I then had to check the sports pages.... Guess there is a reason why I'm not a writer by profession!

Chapter 3 is the letter C - let's see what good words I can include!
